Data we collect

Account & profile

• Email address (used for login and friend requests)
• Password (encrypted)
• Optional profile info you provide (e.g., full name)

Timetable / availability

We store the busy blocks you create or import (day of week, start/end time, and timezone). Blocks may also include an optional name and an optional location label if you choose to add them.

Note: Breakroom does not access your device GPS location. Any “location” is text you manually enter.

Friends & matching

• Friend requests and friendships (who you connect with and request status)
• Availability results (free/common time windows) shown to you and your friends

Calendar import (.ics)

If you choose to import a calendar file, Breakroom uploads the selected .ics file to our server to parse it and extract busy time blocks. We use the file only for that import request and do not store the original .ics file after parsing.

How we use your data

• Provide core features (timetable, availability, matching)
• Authenticate you and secure your account
• Operate, maintain, and protect the service (abuse prevention, debugging)

Sharing & disclosure

What other users can see

• Your email may be visible to friends you connect with (used for friend requests/matching).
• Your availability (free/common time windows) can be shown to your friends for coordination.

Legal and safety

• We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users and the service.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

• Update your profile and timetable anytime in the app.
• Pause matching visibility from within the app.
• Delete your account: deleting currently deactivates your account (you can’t log in). To request full data deletion, contact us.
